When Sofia Jonasson Hamerslag joined Sigicom, there was no formal HR function, but she immediately saw the potential to build something meaningful and long-lasting on the strong employee culture Sigicom had already established. With her background in HR and in-depth experience in technical industries, she has since helped build the foundation for Sigicom’s continued growth, introducing modern HR tools, clear processes, and leadership structures. Step by step, she has shaped an HR function designed for an international company.

A central part of her mission is to ensure that Sigicom’s culture is reflected globally, across all locations. Sofia strongly champions the Swedish approach to working life, emphasizing healthy boundaries, mutual trust, and the idea that people do their best work when they can be fully present: focused during working hours and able to disconnect outside them. Working closely with leaders across all countries where Sigicom operates, she helps embed this philosophy throughout the organization. In her global role, she also supports international growth, acquisitions, and integrations, introducing new team members and maintaining the warm, people-centered culture that employees consistently describe as one of Sigicom’s greatest strengths.
What inspires me most is watching people grow, whether it is a manager finding their leadership voice or a colleague taking the next step in their development. That is why I am in this field, and I am here for everyone.
