We’re happy to welcome Matilda Bergsten to Sigicom this summer. Matilda is a Design Engineering student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and previously completed her bachelor’s thesis with us. This summer, she is working on a product development project as part of our Product Management team.
Matilda is investigating and modeling potential future mounting solutions for our vibration-monitoring products. From concept sketches and research to 3D modeling and prototype development, she’s involved throughout the entire design process.
– I’ve already told my friends how much fun it is here. It’s exciting to work as a real engineer and apply everything I’ve learned during my studies to solve an actual engineering challenge, says Matilda.
Outside of school and work, Matilda is a musician and has played the saxophone since she was very young. When she began studying at KTH, she realised she could combine her passion for music with engineering, something she has had the opportunity to do during her time at Sigicom.
I find noise and vibration really interesting, and it’s rewarding to work on products that make a positive impact on people and society. Everyone at Sigicom has been incredibly welcoming, and it’s inspiring that so much development happens in-house. You can easily talk to colleagues from different departments and learn from their expertise.
Thank you for spending your summer with us, Matilda!
