Sigicom has always taken pride in its deep technical knowledge of vibration and noise monitoring. Since its first release in 2011, INFRA Net — our software platform — has been a reliable tool that customers trust to manage projects. In the construction site monitoring industry, INFRA Net stands out for its powerful functionality and seamless interoperability with INFRA hardware.
Over the years, INFRA Net has constantly evolved to meet changing needs, regulations, technological trends, and the ambitions of the industries we serve. It also grows in step with our own product development. As we expand our portfolio and bring new products to market, the platform must evolve in parallel to fully support them. A clear example of this is the INFRA C50 wireless sound level meter, and the advanced functionality it has unlocked for our users.
Built Around Remote Monitoring
Sigicom’s vision for remote monitoring is at the core of both our hardware and software. INFRA Net is deeply connected not only to our devices but also to the way our users operate in the field. Our products serve a wide variety of customer and application types, which means they impact daily work in many different ways.
Having one platform where a data engineer can dive into the latest measurements while a fleet manager gets an overview of the entire fleet — instantly spotting if a device requires attention — is a massive stronghold. What excites me most is knowing that, during my working hours, someone is using INFRA Net to monitor a tunnel blast in Stockholm. By the time I log off, an acoustic consultant in New York may be receiving a noise alert, while across the globe a consultant in South America is reviewing air quality data that shapes construction for the day.
The Human Element
Developing a platform like INFRA Net also brings challenges. Our team has had to balance long-term vision with the immediate needs of customers, overcome obstacles together, and adapt quickly. Some of the most inspiring feedback we’ve received has been from customers who share how INFRA Net has not only supported their compliance and reporting but also given them confidence in their daily work. Those moments remind us why we keep pushing forward.
Looking Ahead
It’s fascinating to imagine how monitoring platforms will look in just five years. As prompt-based interactions become more common, expectations of software will shift. At the same time, environmental data is increasingly visible to the public — a trend that is reshaping how interfaces present information.
In Japan, live noise data is already displayed on boards around construction sites. In Stockholm, pedestrians can see air quality data as they pass by. And beyond the construction industry, consumers are increasingly monitoring air quality in their own homes. Monitoring is everywhere, shaping not only how professionals work but also how individuals live. These trends point to a future where data isn’t only collected and analyzed but also communicated in new, more transparent ways. We see these developments — and the general increase in data availability and quality — as closely aligned with our vision of remote monitoring.
Global Reach & Innovation
The global release of the INFRA C50 marked a major milestone for Sigicom. From the outset, we designed the first release to address the core needs of our customers, ensuring it delivered immediate value. Since then, customer feedback and usage insights have guided us in expanding its capabilities, refining the product in ways that create even greater impact.
This process highlights what excites us most: translating local requirements and specific user behaviors into solutions that add value across our markets. By staying close to customers, presenting early demos internally and externally, and validating design decisions, we ensure our solutions are both effective and intuitive. Building on a strong design system helps us deliver features that feel natural for both new and long-time Sigicom customers.
