| “One cable for everything” The elegance of Sigicom’s INFRA system is the user friendliness combined with its advanced features. The sensors are easily connected via a network cable which also provides the necessary power for the sensors. Measurement configuration is made using easy to understand parameters - no programming or special skills are required. Office computer systems architecture The system resembles an office computer system, each sensor (node) corresponds to a workstation and the Master Unit acts as a communication server on the network. Using this analogy there are also a number of differences between INFRA and traditional measurement systems. Every sensor uses digital communication Every sensor has a unique identity Every sensor has electronics inside Up to 16 sensors can be connected to one network. The Master Unit contains no measurement electronics and requires no calibration All sensors can use and be powered by a common cable |
| Intelligence inside The built-in microprocessors in the INFRA system sensors convert analogue signals to digital information. Setup for all channels in a node can be made for 5 sec to 24 hour intervals and recording time for the measurements. A digital signal processor (DSP) filtrates, compensates and detects the signals using selected standards which gives the user reliable and desired results.
