INFRA Data Loggers

The measurement data recorded by sensors in an INFRA system are stored in a data logger (master unit) at the project site. Up to sixteen sensors can be connected to the same data logger on a single cable. The sensors connected to the cable can be of the same or different types, for example, both vibration and noise meters.

The data logger is available in two variants - INFRA Master and the slightly smaller INFRA Mini. Both store data on Compact Flash memory cards. The logger is also a communication device, which relays data through GSM or GPRS to a server or database. A GSM antenna is built into the INFRA Master and is external on the INFRA Mini.

The difference between the INFRA Master and INFRA Mini is in the power supply and the number of cable connections. If no external power is available, the INFRA Master is powered by a built in lead-acid battery. The INFRA Mini is powered by alkaline batteries. Both units are known for having long battery life compared to other systems with their comprehensive functionality. The INFRA Master can also be connected to a solar panel to further extend battery life between charges.
